Dr. Norma Smith received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. She completed her residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in 1993. Dr. Norma Smith is an established physician and has been in private practice since 1993, practicing in gynecology and obstetrics since 1998. In 2004 Dr. Norma Smith expanded her practice to include the treatment of varicose veins. In 2009 she became the first Diplomat of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine in the state of Arkansas. In 2011 Dr. Norma Smith refocused her practice to the treatment of vein disorders, chronic venous ulcers, and aesthetic treatments. Dr. Norma Smith and her licensed ultrasound staff are IAC accredited for peripheral venous studies.
Janet Newman, RN
Janet Newman is a Fort Smith native. She is a graduate of the Westark Nursing Program, and has been a practicing registered nurse for over 20 years. Janet has been working with Dr. Norma Smith since 2003, initially focusing primarily on the treatment of spider veins. Since 2011 Janet has been an Aesthetic Nurse Injector, after being personally mentored by Therese Jenkins, PA, an expert in facial rejuvenation using fillers, Botox®, photofacials, peels, and laser hair removal. Janet is also an artist, specializing in portraits, which has proven beneficial when working with facial fillers and Botox. Janet continues to further her skills with personal, hands-on training with fillers and neurotoxins biannually.

Elizabeth has always shown a keen interest in the beauty industry from a young age. She was crowned Miss UAFS in 2018 and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2020 from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. Elizabeth gained valuable clinical experience as an RN at OU Medical Center in the emergency room where she learned the art of patient interview, interaction and assessment. She is currently in her final rotations of her Master of Science in Nursing degree through Purdue University, where she will become a Nurse Practitioner. Elizabeth’s favorite part of being a cosmetic RN is taking the aesthetic aspects and combining those with current medicine practices to create a customized comprehensive treatment plan.
